Paganism

First of all religion is a belief in, worship of, or obedience to a supernatural power or powers considered to be divine or to have control of human destiny. Paganism is a religion of second case, meaning belief in supernatural powers considered to be divine and have control of human destiny. Paganism is a result of efforts of ancient people to explain what is going on around them. It were efforts to explain why rain is pour, why sun is shine, why moon replaces the son and also bright but give no light and warm. There were no scholars and scientists among them and no tools to help them find the right answers we all know now, so they explained all that events on their own way. They divinized the son, rain, wind, rivers and other natural elements. They divinized those and gave them the names and even images, they decided what are their likes and dislikes and made the way to please them in case if they are angry. And that is how paganism appeared.

Paganism is a religion of number of gods and according to its religion each of the gods has its own powers and manages certain natural elements or human lives. Paganism's followers worshiped the wooden idols as every idol was an image of certain god. They said their prayers and crowned their feet with hosts to please them. Paganism is also distinctive by the form of burying humans. At first paganists buried their dead people in embryo pose, as they believed that a person is given for Mother Earth for further birth, and posing dead as embryo prepared one for next birth. With the laps of time such form of burying was replaced by burning of the body. It was resulted by evolution of human's point of view of the world, they realized that each human has a soul and that body is mortal but soul is immortal, or other way how would they reincarnate after death. With cremation disappeared belief in reincarnation but appeared belief in some place up above the sky where all the souls go and wait for their relatives there, and watch after them. Some of the pagans buried aches of the dead at their yard as they believed that it will provide them with supernatural protection of ancestors.

The earlier form of paganism stipulated belief in animals like in gods. Paganists believed that they were descended from animals and so worshiped them as divines. Each tribe has its own sacred animal the totem, members of the tribe had to worship the sacred animal, to pray it and bring it hosts to prevent the sacred animal become angry and curses them. Each tribe had an idol of the sacred animal and that is where they brought hosts. Sacred animal was granted with name that was forbidden for saying it aloud as it may drive it angry. Pagans swore by the name of sacred animal and considered that those who will break their swearing will be punished through death at hunting. The Bear was the supreme divine of pagans religion as it considered as wise and strong animal, the bear's vernal woke up of hibernation was a sing of spring come. There also was a divine of female deer. It was a divine of hearth and its corns were symbol of sun light and were used as talisman.
