Islam

Islam – the religion of Muslims, having the Koran as its sacred scripture and teaching that there is only one God and that Mohammed is his prophet. Islam is one of world's three greatest religions (Christianity, Buddhism, Islam) it's the youngest one among them. Islam appeared twelve in centuries after Buddhism and in seven centuries after Christianity. Islam takes the second place of all religions by quantity of its followers. In Egypt, Afghanistan, Pakistan and 25 more countries Islam is a state religion. Word "islam" is translated from Arabian as "resigned" and Muslim – "one who gave himself up to Allah". Islam appeared at Arabian in VII century and from the very beginning every period of its development was described in Koran in details, that is why the history of Islam development is fuller than the Christians and Buddhist. Koran for Islam is like a Holly Bible for Christianity and Pentateuch for Judaism, it contains the history of religion's development and set of rules that are obligatory for every Islam follower.

It's known that Koran was dictated to Mohammed by Jabrail archangel, but it wasn't collected as a single book by Mohammed, that was done only after Mohammed's death with the help of his notes and some recollections of his followers. Koran consist of 114 chapters that are called surah, each surah differs by its size and, in its turn, consists of ayahs. Koran is not only the holly book of Muslims it's also a set of laws for all Islam followers. The first surah of Koran is likelihood a pray as according to Koran it have to be read more frequently than other and its usually over with word "Amen". Surahs distributed in Koran according to their size from biggest to smallest. The last two surahs are the smallest and those are incantations against evil spirit. Some specialists say that surahs distributed according to their size because that by the time when Koran was collected as a single book no one of those who knew date of writing of each surah were alive, so it was easier to set them according to their size.

According to Koran each Islam religion follower must to do five main rules: to proclaim Allah as the only god and disclaim any other religions and gods, to perform namaz everyday five times a day with his faced turned to Mecca, to observe a fast Ramazan, to give poor rate and at least once perform pilgrimage to Mecca in case if he's not able to perform it because of some serious reasons he has to ask someone to do it for him. Another obligatory rule of Koran is taking part at jihad – the sacred war. What ever you are, what ever you do if jihad is proclaimed you must to take part in it. according to Koran feud is allowed, more over is in respect, say someone has killed your brother in this case you have to kill him to revenge your brothers death and no one will punish you but in that case relatives of killed brother may revenge you for his death by means of the same feud and that bloody revenge may have never ends.
