Confucianism

Confucianism – the ethical system of Confucius, the Chinese philosopher and teacher of ethics (551-479 BC) emphasizing moral order, the humanity and virtue of China's ancient rulers, and gentlemanly education. Confucianism is a main religion of China it's rules and moral norms are obligatory. The fundamental social rule of that time was belief that one is rich when he is educated and has high-level knowledge, those who had no education can't be rich or welfare in any case. Such policy may seem unfair but it was the base of living at Chine as this fundamental was a mean to draw boundary between monarch and people. The greatest idea of Confucianism was honouring of one's parents, on the base of that idea Confucius created syao teaching. Confucius considered syao to be the base of humanity; he said that every person must be respectful to parents, especially one who is intelligent, kind and humane.
According to Confucianism family is a breath of live, the greatest value of each Confucianism follower, interest of the family is the supreme interest. One must sacrifice his egoistic personal interest for sake of his family as family is a sacred unity and person is just a part of this unity obliged to serving for family. After Confucianism man or woman had no right to chose wife or husband themselves, choice was made by parents and there were nothing wring in it, no one may protest against as if he do it would mean that he run counter his family and set own interests above the interests of the family, other words run counter Confucianism norms. That is why one never opened the question about love, as love considered to be an egoistic felling of certain person and just like other egoistic felling must and will be sacrificed for the sake of family. This is the reason why love is rather rare occurrence at Chinese family, sure there are exceptions for example as with the lapse of time spouse fall in love with each other and live happily for the rest of their lives. In case if they don't feel love for each other husband has a right to satisfy his desires and need by choosing concubine he likes and wife has no right to oppose it or express her indignation. Of course it's on theory but in the real life anything can happened.
Some students of religion open the question whether Confucianism is religion or just a philosophy, but still a valid answer for this question can't be given as in a couple with features that characterize Confucianism as religion there are features that proves the contrary. One way or another, Confucianism is more than religion or philosophy it's also the base of the Chinese way of life, system of state managing and quintessence of Chinese civilization.
