In whom we trust?

As long as humanity exists, exist their beliefs and attempts to explain those events they see in their everyday lives. Ancient humans felt wind and they were wondering where from did I come, they saw rain and wondered where did it pour out, they saw sun and wondered why does it set and make way for moon and then they wondered what is the moon and it is so dark as it shine. No one was able to give them answers for these questions so they did it themselves as it was rather scary to watch something unaccountable next to them. As they weren't able to explain it like scientist did nowadays they endowed all these events with some mystical nature other words they idolized them, and that is hoe first religion appeared. At first it was a religion of many gods who managed certain phenomena of nature like sun, rain, wind, moon, rivers, snow etc. People worshiped nature as there was no other way for them to explain what is going on around them and why that is going on. So they prayed for their gods and asked them for good and when rain poured right as long as they needed they said that gods are good to them, and when something was wrong they believed that gods are angry with them and sent them punishment like this.
As humanity developed in their religious and philosophical aspect they realized that supreme reality is totally different from something single taken and limited. People started believe in supreme god that manages all other as it was impossible for them to reject their beliefs in gods of elements at once. So from that time it was considered that there's a supreme god and gods that manages different elements. Sure gods were set to the sky as it was the only unreachable place for people and if so no one was able to check up this theory and disprove it. and so it was until the advent of single God who lived among people and suffered for their sins and than got back to heaven to watch after them from above, to edify and didactic them.
So people forgot about variety of gods of nature elements and realized that there's only one single God and so they trusted in him but gave him a different names. The great variety of nations live in the world and the great variety of cultures exist and as so a single religion is not able to satisfy everyone as what is normal for one nation that is abnormal for another, so every nation endowed god with different features and so Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Confucianism, Shintoism, Protestantism, Catholicism, Judaism and many other religions appeared. All of the religions have its distinctive and common features, and on the base of those common features one may even make a decision that god is one but has a lot of names and forms peculiar for each nation.
